Today I learned the casual way to say hello. This was practiced several times in my new office shared by several future mathematicians and located in the confusing, imposing, monotonous campus of UPMC, Paris 6, Jussieu, or whatever one wants to call my new university. Now if only I could remember everyone’s names.
As you can see, I go to school inside a waffle.
The ici stands for the location of the mathematics teaching library. Not quite ici because it is underground. Looking for a library, I walked past several times until discovering the subtle above ground entrance.
There is much to be learned here.
